Ordering

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes!  We offer digital gift cards in our store.  Wall Artifacts digital gift cards are treated as cash.  They have no processing or transaction fees, and are delivered to you by email within 24 hours of purchase. You can then either print or forward the gift card to the intended recipient.  Please visit our Gift Card page to purchase digital gift card(s).

Gift cards are redeemable in the wallartifacts.com online store only and are applicable to all Wall Artifacts products. They are offered in predetermined amounts of $25, $50, $75, $100, $250 and $500.

Gift cards cannot be returned, resold, transferred, redeemed for cash or applied to another account.

Promotional discounts and discount codes are not applicable to any gift card purchased.

All purchased gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.

Can I combine gift cards with other promotions when purchasing products on your site?

Yes! When making a product purchase on our site, you may apply other online discount codes, store sales and multiple gift cards to your order.

Do you deliver to post office boxes?

No, we do not deliver to post office boxes. Due to the size of most of our items and the shipping services we use, post office box delivery is not offered. You must have a physical address for accepting delivery.  Please provide us with an alternative address to ensure successful delivery.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently support shipments to the U.S.. Shipping rates vary based on location, total items and quantity ordered. Actual shipping costs can be viewed in your shopping cart prior to finalizing your order.

We currently ship with the following global shipping partners: Fedex, UPS, DHL and DPD.

Will I have to pay any custom fees or duties?

Any customs and duties to the U.S. are included in the shipping costs listed in your shopping cart.

Can I select a specific delivery date?

Due to order volume and the policies of shipping services we partner with, we are unable to accommodate specific delivery date requests at this time.

Can I rush or expedite my order delivery?

Your order will be printed and shipped directly from our facility. Our standard production time is typically 24-48 business hours; and standard shipping times are 3-7 business days. We do offer Express Delivery, which will reach you within 2-3 business days after production on your order is completed. There is an additional charge for Express Delivery.

Can I change my shipping address once my order has been placed?

To ensure that your order is delivered successfully, please make sure you provide us with the correct shipping address when placing your order.

We can usually change or update your shipping address within 24 hours after your order has been placed. Once your order has been shipped, we are unable to make any changes to your address. For already-shipped orders, you’ll need to contact the shipping carrier directly in order to make a shipping address change.

Where is my order?

Once your order ships, you will receive an email that includes tracking information. Our standard shipping times are 3-7 business days. Shipping times may be slightly impacted by 2-3 days during significant holiday periods (when carrier shipping volumes are elevated, e.g., the week before and after Christmas). 

If you haven’t received your order, but your tracking information shows the current status as “delivered,” we request that you allow up to 24 business hours for your order to show up at your address before contacting the shipping provider.  Our experienced shipping carriers occasionally mark deliveries as “completed” prior to actual delivery.  These status updates are determined by the carrier and out of our direct control. We recommend you directly contact the shipping carrier to get immediate assistance concerning the shipping status of your order.

 In the rare instance your order is not delivered within 4 business days after the “delivered” status was marked on your tracking information and no additional information is provided by the shipping carrier, we ask that you:

1. File a “lost package” claim directly with the carrier as the recipient.

2. Please email us the claim number to info@wallartifacts.com.

3. We will follow up with the shipping carrier to take care of the rest.

Unfortunately, we cannot file a claim on your behalf if tracking shows a successful delivery by the shipping carrier, but we’ll do our best to ensure your “lost package” experience is hassle-free.

Will I receive an email confirmation of my order?

Yes! Once your order has been placed, you will automatically receive an email confirmation with your order number and order details.

Additionally, once your order has shipped, you will immediately receive a second email containing all tracking information on your order. If you don’t receive a shipping confirmation email within 7 business days of placing your order, please check your “SPAM” folder. If you are still unable to locate your tracking information, please email info@wallartifacts.com so our customer support team can get back to you with your tracking info.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Your order will be printed and shipped directly from our facility. Our standard shipping times are 3-7 business days. Shipping times may be slightly impacted by 2-3 days during significant holiday periods (when carrier shipping volumes are elevated, e.g., the week before and after Christmas).

For expedited shipping, we also offer Express Delivery, which will reach you within 2-3 business days after completed order production. In most cases, there is a modest additional charge for Express Delivery.

Returns and Refunds

Can I cancel my order?

In order to provide you with the best products and fastest shipment times, all of our products are custom made-to-order. Once you have completed your order payment, we will begin processing and printing your order immediately. Our extremely fast production process does not allow us to offer order cancellation or restock options at this time.

If, after placing your order, you find that you need to make an alteration such as wallpaper panel heights or framing options on a custom print, please contact our team immediately at info@wallartifacts.com.  We will do our best to accommodate your request based on where your order is currently at in our production queue.

What is your return policy?

Our return policy is valid for up to 14 days from the recorded date of package delivery via the shipping carrier. We are unable to process a return or refund beyond this time.

We offer exchanges, returns or refunds in the following cases:

  • Your order arrives with damage in transit.
  • You received the wrong product (not what was ordered on your order receipt).

In order to ensure the visual and technical suitability of our wallpaper on your wall/surface, we strongly recommend purchasing and testing samples before committing to a larger order of multiple panels. This step will ensure suitability to your walls/surfaces and that your chosen design meets your aesthetic and technical expectations. We do not offer refunds or returns based on unsuitable color or pattern choice and cannot guarantee individual surface suitability.

Wallpaper samples can be ordered in the main ordering dropdown on product detail pages for each individual wallpaper.  We offer generous and larger 12” x 24” samples at a cost of $9.00 each. 

For every 5 samples selected, we offer 2 additional samples FREE. (You can add your 2 FREE samples to your shopping cart once the first 5 samples have been added. These will automatically be discounted as FREE items when you check out.)

For individuals looking to order more than 7 total wallpaper samples, you can continue to automatically receive 2 additional samples for FREE with each additional 5 samples you order. FREE samples will automatically be applied in your shopping cart based on the total number of samples added.

I received a damaged or incorrect order. What should I do?

Each wallpaper and art print is fully checked for quality control prior to shipping. However, mistakes can occasionally happen.  Please let us know immediately if your order is incorrect, was damaged in transit or appears to have a misprint that occurred in the printing process. We provide you with 14 days from the date of recorded delivery to contact us concerning order damage or order misprint. We are unable to process a return or refund beyond this time.

Our goal is to make your order right; and print what we promise. If we are at fault, we will provide a replacement as soon as possible. In order to review and determine the next best steps in correcting your order and experience, our customer-support team will request you provide the below information so that we can effectively troubleshoot the issue. 

1. Send photos of any and all damage to the product (as well as including pictures of the packing box if it was also damaged) and include a brief summary of the issue to info@wallartifacts.com.

2. Be sure to include your order number and full name for easy order matching on our end.

We will then review your request, following up with next steps and recommended solutions (refund, store credit or an exchange).

Once your return is approved, we will provide you with return instructions to our facility. A tracking number must be provided so we can monitor the return on our end. 

We do not provide prepaid shipping labels or packing material to send the product(s) back to us and will credit your previously used payment method for the return shipping we’ve approved. Customers will only receive credit for the shipping carrier and shipping method we specifically approve in email communication with you. If you choose to utilize a more expensive carrier and/or shipping method for returning damaged products, Wall Artifacts is only responsible for refunding shipping amounts based on our prior email approval.  We will request shipping the product(s) back to us using a trackable method with one of the specific carriers we currently utilize (Fedex, UPS, DHL and DPD). 

Please Note: If you use a forwarding shipping service to receive your order, we are not responsible for any damages or stolen goods.

When will I receive my refund from my approved refund order?

Please allow up to 72 business hours from the date we receive your return for processing before your refund, store credit or exchange is issued. Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment and may take 5-7 days from the date of issuance to fully process and show up in your account.

How are your canvases constructed and printed?

Wall Artifacts canvas art is 100% safeguarded against dust, scratches, UV rays and environmental hazards that normally fade or warp artwork over time. Our materials are 100% ethically made and environmentally safe.

All canvases are shipped assembled (stretched over a wooden inner frame to create depth similar to a painting) and come with pre-installed sawtooth hanging hardware included, making them ready to hang right out of the box. No assembly needed!

How are your posters printed?

How is framing for your canvases and posters constructed?

All framing for our canvases and posters are handmade.  Our production specialists inspect the quality at every step. We do checks during printing, stretching, framing and packing. This way we can guarantee that every framed canvas and poster gets sent out in perfect condition. 100% customer satisfaction is our goal!

Our canvas frames are called "floating frames" where the space between the edge of the frame and the canvas itself makes it seem like the artwork is floating.

The canvases and posters are shipped adhered (assembled to the handmade frames). Both have pre-installed sawtooth hanging hardware included, making them ready to hang right out of the box. No assembly needed!

Can I purchase framing separately?

No! Framing is currently only offered as an enhancement / add-on for purchased canvases and posters.  Since our frames are custom built and adhered to the canvas and poster at time of purchase, framing is not independently offered for purchase.

How will my unframed poster arrive?

We have special quality checks during the canvas and poster production to ensure your shipment arrives safely at your doorstep. Our experts control the print quality and how your item is packed.

Every rolled canvas and poster are carefully wrapped in protective tissue paper. It’s then inserted into a sustainable heavy-duty protective tube, which is then packed in a sturdy cardboard box. “Fragile” stickers are then added to the outer cardboard box to ensure careful handling. Simple and effective!

How will my canvas (unframed and framed) and/or my framed canvas/poster arrive?

Our canvases are handmade, design-printed on canvas material and then stretched on a wooden frame. Our production specialists check every piece at every step of the production process; from print quality, to correct stretching, to accurate packing.

Every canvas (framed and unframed) and framed poster are tightly wrapped in bubble wrap, a cardboard protective sheet and foam corner, which is then inserted into a durable cardboard box.  “Fragile” stickers are then added to the outer cardboard box to ensure careful handling. Simple and effective!

We guarantee that every canvas will be shipped out in perfect condition – 100% customer satisfaction is our goal.

Can I apply wallpaper to glass, furniture, cabinets and stair risers?

Certainly! You can use our wallpapers for a wide variety of projects and with many different surfaces. Individuals use peel-and-stick wallpaper for application to headboards in bedrooms, wardrobes, ceilings, glass cabinet inserts, refrigerator fronts, tabletops, home craft projects and more.

Just remember that your application surface should be clean, dry, non-porous and smooth.  

Application of peel-and-stick wallpaper to freshly painted walls should not be done for a minimum of 30 days after wall paint application to ensure walls have completely cured and are dry.

Is wallpaper easily removable?

If you are a renter and/or looking to potentially remove applied wallpaper in the foreseeable future, we highly encourage you to use our peel-and-stick wallpapers – available in both polyester and vinyl formats.

When it’s time for a change or you need to move, our peel-and-stick wallpapers are designed for easy, damage-free removal from walls. This feature allows customers to change their décor without concern for wall damage, making them ideal for both residential and commercial applications.

Vinyl wallpaper is renowned for its durability and resistance to wear and tear. Its waterproof properties make it suitable for high-moisture areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. The adhesive backing allows for hassle-free installation on any smooth, flat surface. Vinyl wallpaper is an excellent choice for customers looking for a long-lasting solution that withstands the test of time.

What type of wallpaper should I select?

Selection of wallpaper type depends on a number of factors including the type of project you are using wallpaper for, the smoothness of the area the paper is being applied to, if you see this a temporary or more permanent solution, if you are a renter vs. owner, etc. 

Non-woven traditional wallpaper is often favored for its durability and high-quality finish. We offer both unpasted (requires paste/glue purchased separately) and pre-pasted non-woven traditional wallpaper.  Traditional may be more suitable for high-humidity areas.

Peel-and-stick wallpapers are much easier to apply and remove without creating potential wall damage that needs to be repaired. Slightly more expensive than traditional solutions, most DIY enthusiasts and renters select from our polyester and vinyl peel-and-stick wallpapers.

Can you visually detect any difference between traditional and peel-and-stick wallpaper solutions?

Due to differences in textures and materials across different wallpaper types, there may be slight variations in color between traditional (non woven) and removable (peel and stick) wallpaper.  Ordering wallpaper samples in different wallpaper types will help you decide the format that works best for you.

Can I use and apply wallpaper outdoors?

Outdoor application is not recommended.  Our wallpaper is intended for indoor installation only.  Significant fluctuations in temperature and humidity, as well as rain events will ruin wallpaper applications when used outdoors.

Can I use wallpaper effectively in a bathroom or will there be too much moisture?

Yes! Our wallpapers are designed to withstand medium humidity levels. However, proper and regular ventilation of any wallpapered space is highly recommended to ensure your wallpaper looks fantastic for the years to come.  Too much ongoing moisture can impact the overall lifespan of wallpaper.

If your bathroom has higher humidity levels, we would suggest you consider our non-woven traditional wallpapers instead of our peel-and-stick solutions.

Can I use wallpaper in my kitchen?

Yes! Our peel-and-stick wallpapers make a great accent to the front of refrigerators, on pantry walls, as backsplashes and more. They are easily cleanable with a damp cloth.  However, using any cleaning chemicals should be avoided as they could damage the ink used in printing your wallpaper.

How long are your wallpaper rolls?

Our wallpaper comes in custom panels instead of traditional rolls. This makes for increased convenience, more cost-effective shipping and improved installation for our customers.  We adjust the length of our panels to fit the actual length of your wall.  All panels are 24” (2 feet) wide and provided in custom heights of 1 foot up to 16 feet. Just select the proper height for your walls or project when checking out.

How wide is your wallpaper?

Our panels are 24” (2 feet) wide. Unlike most wallpaper rolls where there is approximately 1” of overlap, our panels are printed to the edge, making it easier for self-installation.

Is your wallpaper safe and non-toxic for children and pets?

Wall Artifacts uses high-quality wallpaper materials certified to meet current safety standards, including both printing  ink and paper. Our products are PVC (polyvinyl chloride) free and have B1 / M1 fire resistance ratings (traditional and peel and stick, as well as featuring an ASTM class A fire rating (commercial). We use Epson ECO-solvent inks (with the ISO certificate for safe use indoors – homes, schools, kindergartens, hotels, restaurants, etc.). We carefully selected these materials for protecting your health, the health of your pets and not harming the environment. Our wallpaper does not emit noxious odors or chemical scents. We also believe our print-to-order production is ideal for eliminating product waste and protecting our environment.

Do you have any suggestions for preparing my walls in advance of installation?

Make sure your walls are clean, dry, smooth and free of mildew, mold, grease or other stains.  Newly painted walls should be allowed to completely cure and dry for 30 days prior to any wallpaper application to prevent any bubbles and/or peeling.

Measuring

How do I correctly measure my walls to facilitate ordering the correct amount of wallpaper?

Use a tape measure to determine your wall or project height, and write down the measurements. You will only need the height measurement for the area you are planning to apply wallpaper to. (Exclude the height of baseboards and crown molding when measuring walls.) Order panels in a height 1’ foot taller than the actual height.

For example, your wall height is just over 11 feet. You must round up and order panels 12 feet tall to ensure complete height coverage on your walls.

When measuring your total wall width, you will need to determine the total inches of each wall width, take each individual wall width and divide by 24. (Our panels come in 24” widths and are edge-to-edge printed for easy installation).  The amount you are left with is the number of total panels you will need for that particular wall. You should round up to an additional panel for any partial number.

For example:

Your wall height is 11.2 feet and your total wall width across all walls is 10.5 feet (or 126 inches).

You should be ordering 6 total panels, 12 feet tall each to ensure complete coverage.

Please Note: In cases where some walls may have a partial foot measurement, e.g., 10.3 feet, you will need to order an additional panel for each wall impacted to ensure complete coverage on a per-wall basis.

Also, you should not order different individual panel heights for the same projects as doing so may result in your pattern not lining up across panels with differing heights.

Can I order wallpaper samples?

Yes! We offer samples of all our patterns in all 5 of our paper types (traditional, peel and stick and commercial).  You can select samples in the main ordering dropdown on product detail pages for each individual wallpapers.  We offer generous and larger 12” x 24” samples at a cost of $9.00 each. 

For every 5 samples selected, we offer 2 additional samples FREE. (You can add your 2 FREE samples to your shopping cart once the first 5 samples have been added. These will automatically be discounted as FREE items when you check out.) This gives you a cost-effective way to preview a wider selection of options for your home or office.

Can you color-match any major paint brands?

Unfortunately, we cannot color-match any brands. We strongly encourage you to order our large and cost-friendly sample swatches for comparison in determining the optimal color for your space.

Is there any color variance between my computer and the actual color on the wallpaper?

We always recommend ordering a sample in your preferred paper type to ensure any minimal color differences meet your expectations and color/design needs.  While there can be some minor variations between your computer screen and your printed wallpaper due to individual monitor settings related to color intensity, contrast and brightness, the difference is usually very minor.

Do your wallpaper panels have any excess needing to be trimmed?

Our panels are 24” (2 feet) wide. Unlike most wallpaper rolls where there is approximately 1” of overlap, our panels are printed edge to edge, making it easier for self-installation.

Can I modify my order after payment?

In order to provide you with the best products and fastest shipment times, each wallpaper is  custom printed on demand with near immediate turnaround. Once you have completed your order payment, we will begin processing and printing your order immediately.

Depending on your requested order change and if your order has not already been processed, we will be happy to process minor order changes when possible.  Examples of minor order changes include:

  • Change of wallpaper pattern
  • Change of wallpaper type
  • Totals panels needed
  • Upgrade of shipping method
  • Change of shipping address

If you need to change anything about your placed order, please contact us immediately at info@wallartifacts.com with your full name, order number and the details of your request. We will pull your order to check the status and confirm if your change request can be made.

When installing my wallpaper, I discovered that I didn’t order enough.Will the colors from your printers match if I need to order more at a separate time?

Since every Wall Artifacts product is custom printed, there can be minor color variances between orders placed at different times.  While any color variation would likely not be discernable, we highly recommend you order a small amount of extra coverage area to ensure you have enough for your project.

Installation

Do you supply wallpaper paste?

If you’ve ordered our non-woven traditional wallpaper requiring separate glue purchase, you will need to either go to your local hardware store or from an online supplier. We do not sell wallpaper paste.

Is there an ideal temperature for installing wallpaper?

It’s best to install at a normal room temperature and indoor humidity you are comfortable with daily. We do not recommend installing your wallpaper during excessive outdoor humidity events or when you are experiencing extremely cold temperatures. Sudden changes in temperature can cause bubbles to appear if your wallpaper is applied too quickly.

How do I prepare my walls for installation?

Proper preparation is critical to ensure that the wallpaper adheres correctly and bubbles do not form in your application. Look to patch any holes and sand down where needed. Clean the wall with 70% isopropyl alcohol mixed with 30% water solution and let dry. Walls should be allowed to dry for at least 7 days prior to wallpaper installation after they have been cleaned.

Is prepasted wallpaper easy to remove and safe for dorms or rentals?

Our traditional prepasted wallpaper is intended to be semi-permanent. If removal is necessary, peel a small corner at the top of the panel back.  Then, use a spray bottle to continually wet the wall and back of the wallpaper panel for reactivating the adhesive. Why won’t my pattern line up?

Properly aligning the panels and matching up the pattern can sometimes be challenging without a second set of hands.  We strongly encourage you to find a family member or a friend to help.  It will make the installation process much easier.

A friendly reminder that our panels are not printed with an overlap.  You should be able to apply the panels directly next to each other.

My wallpaper isn’t lining up.  What should I do?

It’s critical to double check to make sure that your first panel has been installed perfectly straight to ensure that subsequent panels aren’t accidentally installed crooked.  Let the panel hang once the top is adhered and use your included squeegee to smooth with a sweeping side-to-side motion. Refer to your included installation instruction for additional information.

What if I’m having trouble installing my wallpaper?

In the event you need to clean your wall, use a damp cloth to carefully wipe down. Remember that wallpaper is paper.  Using any cleaning chemicals or too much water should be avoided.  Chemicals could damage the ink used in printing your wallpaper and too much water can shorten your wallpaper’s lifespan.

Is it possible to remove and rehang my wallpaper?

Our peel-and-stick wallpapers are designed for worry and damage-free removal from standard walls and other surfaces. When removing your peel-and-stick wallpaper panels, we recommend carefully, evenly and slowly pulling each panel down at a 180 degree angle from the top of the panel. Then immediately apply the panel just removed from the old room to the new one, repeating the process until finished.

If you are experiencing any difficulty in separating the adhesion from the surface, try using a hair dryer.  Apply a lower heat setting 6-10 inches from the wallpaper for 20-30 seconds. In order to avoid any potential damage to your wallpaper, be careful to not use too high of a heat setting, hold the hair dryer too close to the wallpaper or apply heat for prolonged periods of time.
